I suddenly desperately want fic where Mia telecoerces Alec and Logan into having sex.

"I had no idea I wanted to do this to you."

"I didn't even think I liked you."

And Mia just giggles. "Oh, boys."

SOMEONE WRITE THIS FOR ME NOW. Or peer-pressure me until I write it myself.

I just watched the first two episodes of White Collar, and am officially a fan--though no, I can't say I particularly ship Neal/Peter. Possibly Neal/Elizabeth, actually, and definitely Peter/Elizabeth. ;]

In other news, I just found some notes and paragraphs I scribbled out last year for an angsty, Christmastime Chuck/Dan Gossip Girl fic. Anyone want to read through what I've got and tell me whether it's even workable/help me pull it into something cohesive? It's maybe 600 words, so no big commitment.

Oh, and I'm downloading Dark Angel s2, so expect me active in that fandom again soon. (!)

Yuletide Fandom Nominations have opened for the year!

I nominated:

17 Again (2009)
Britannia High (tv)
Inglourious Basterds (2009)
Rome (tv)
Skins
Stephen King - The Long Walk

I'm really psyched for this; I'll have to start my list of prompts and fandoms I'd write in now. <3

I'm not sure yet if I'll volunteer to write Inglourious Basterds, if only because there are so many characters I'm afraid I'd get something I won't like. I don't know; we'll see how it goes. Maybe I'll just sign up for an IB-specific fic exchange this year.

[info]pignapoke just got me into this site called Lockerz, currently in beta testing and giving out free stuff to members. If you'd like to be referred/check it out, post your e-mail address here (comments are screened). :]

And yes, ulterior motives! Of course I get bonus points for referring members, so I'd love you forever if you'd sign up and give it a look. <33

I pretty much fail at daily memes, it seems. :\

But, quote:

"I know myself," he cried, "but that is all."

Closing line of the book I take my username from, This Side of Paradise. I identify with Amory a little too much sometimes, and never moreso than at that moment.

Because fanfiction has never brought me anywhere close to tears before, I have to recommend this:

My Eyes are an Ocean, by [info]entangled_now
Supernatural
Dean/Castiel
NC-17
part 1 || part 2

I love the concept--blind!Dean, post-apocalypse--and the attention [info]entangled_now always pays to supporting characters: Sam isn't written out of the picture (far from it; I'd almost say that Dean talks to/about his brother more than Castiel), and Bobby, Ellen, and Jo all get at least a (totally in-character) reference to fill out the 'verse. And the ending--well, just read it.

It's not spoilery, for those who haven't seen 5.01+ yet. It's a total AU.

I never thought we'd have to have this talk, but i have thoughts on 4.03 )

I won't talk about next week, for the sake of my spoilerphobic friends, but suffice to say I am excited. And very pro-facial hair.

How do you tell if you have a fever if you don't have a thermometer?

I'm freaking out a little bit, guys. My best friend just tested positive for H1N1, and now I'm achy/sore throat-y/headachy/generally feeling the malaise. I took some tylenol and will go get tested officially tomorrow.

I don't want to be sick, guys! Much less feverishly sick with a virus that none of my friends want around them!

Can't stop downloading free audiobooks. I think I need help.

But they're so convenient! I just cleaned my bedroom and read 6 chapters of Sinclair Lewis' Babbitt, a book I've been trying to get around to finishing since last summer, at the same time! :D

free sites and the list of books I've downloaded )

The recording of Les Mis alone is like, 8 years long. Obviously, I totally need to still be browsing the archives right now. xP

[ The Guild @ YouTube ]

Any self-respecting netizen needs to watch The Guild--even those who, like me, know next to nothing about WoW can enjoy it. This and The Legend of Neil (google it, old-school Zelda fans. It's hilarious) are possibly my favorite web series of all time (yes, even if the list includes Dr Horrible).
This video isn't an episode of The Guild--it's a music video the cast put together over the hiatus about internet relationships and cybersex. It's hilarious and more catchy than it should be, really. xD

[ Stranger Than Eviction ]

Troll journal or real guy in a fucked-up situation--whatever you believe, this blog is ridiculously entertaining. I highly recommend drunken dramatic readings of the posts with friends; it totally enhances the experience, and what else are you going to do while you wait on the edge of your seat for the next update? xD

Read this if you enjoy: laughing until your sides ache, creatively-spelled curse words, drunken voicemails, and/or the phrase "SO SUE ME."

I was going to do This Side of Paradise, for the sake of my username, but this book fits my mood better.
